Folorunso Alakija |
Aliko Dangote |
The group had a list of other nigerians such as Mike Adenuga (5th position with a networth of $4.6bn), Jim Ovia (19th position with a networth of $825m), Folorunso Alakija ($600m) and Theophilus Danjuma ($600m) tying on the 24th position.
For the first time, two women were included in the list. Folorunso Alakija, former banking executive-turned-fashion designer-turned-oil magnate, on the 24th position and Isabel Dos Santos, daughter af Angola's president Jose Eduardo Dos Santos, on the 31st position.
The list excluded Africa's dictators, as Forbes disqualified them because their wealth is connected to their position of power. Past and present African dictators were not known for being hardworking business people. Their only sources of income were traced to corruption.(SO VERY TRUE!!!!!!)
We need more Nigerians on that list or dont you think so? maybe I'll be there soon *winks*
